Employee Assistance Programs
Employee Support and Recovery Assistance Program (ESRA) - Are you on medical leave? This program is an employer-funded program that is a great support. If you are away from the office for medical reasons for ten or more consecutive workdays you may want to find out more.
For details, see: http://www.chr.alberta.ca/Employees/?file=health/esra/program&cf=2Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) - is a confidential counselling service for you and your immediate family members. The program is designed to provide you with direct access to professionals who will help you with your problems. These services of the EAP are free to Alberta Public Service employees and their immediate family members. When necessary, individuals involved with the EAP may be referred to community resources that may charge fees. Partial coverage for some psychological services is provided by the Blue Cross Insurance, which is carried by most employees.
